Women's rights did not always exist. They had to be fought for. Women didn't have the right to vote, the right to file for divorce, the right to compete in sports and they were not consiered persons under the law. The Famous Five are five women known for fighting for these rights. People didn't expect women to do what they did, fighting back was unexpected. Men expected that when the war was over and all the men came back home, women would give up their jobs and go back to staying at the house. If women and men were doing the same job, women would get paid less. Women have always been strong and willing to fight for what they want and what they deserve.
